| I try to make this ride at least once a year, I live in New Castle, so I head north on Rt. 311, go into, out of, and back into, West Virginia and get on I-64 to Lewisburg, then turn right, or North on Rt. 219, follow 219 to Millpoint then turn left on Rt. 55 up to the Cranberry Visitors center, then right on Rt. 150 or The Highland Scenic Highway, follow it to the end then turn left onto Rt. 219 north again, go to Slatyfork then turn right on Rt. 66 and go up to Snowshoe ski resort then follow Rt. 66 off the back of the mountain down to Cass and out to Rt. 92, turn right on Rt. 92 and go to Minnehaha Springs then turn left onto Rt. 39 and go back into Va. and into Warm Springs then turn right on Rt. 220 into Covington then I turn right on Rt. 18 and come back to New Castle by way of Blue Spring Run, Jamison Mtn. then Barbours Creek. It's a 285 mile ride and some pretty twistie rds. Takes all day too! |
